Dr. Laurel Wills is board-certified in developmental-behavioral pediatrics and sleep medicine. She earned her undergraduate and medical degrees at Tufts University and Boston University, respectively, and completed her internship and residency at the University of Chicago Medical Center. She returned to Boston Children’s Hospital for her fellowship (advanced) training in D-B Pediatrics, which included focused training in pediatric sleep medicine. Dr. Wills has been on faculty in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Minnesota, since moving to the area with her family in 1995. Prior to joining the New Kingdom family, she worked at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, and Gillette Children’s in St. Paul. Dr. Wills has particular interests in working with children who have ADHD, autism, mood or anxiety disorders, with or without other cognitive or motor disabilities. She is fluent in American Sign Language, and consults at the Minnesota State Academy for the Deaf, in Faribault, MN. Dr. Wills addresses sleep-related concerns, in both typically-developing kids and teens, as well as those with co-occurring developmental or behavioral conditions. Dr. Wills practices with an integrated, holistic, and family-centered orientation to achieving healthy lifestyles naturally, strengthening or learning new coping skills, and optimizing management of special needs. Outside of work, she enjoys family time with her husband and 3 daughters, and is an avid nature enthusiast and swimmer.
